What format are the photos in?
All APG Images photos are in JPG format
How do I obtain my photos for FREE?
If you have had a photo taken by a photographer from APG Images and have been given our web address or card to download your images for free. Simply go to the support page and fill in your details with a valid email address and the ID of the images you require. You will be sent a link enabling you to download the appropriate images for free.
Do you add photos on a regular basis?
Yes. We add photos as they are taken. Click on "Newest Photos" to see the latest photos that we have posted. We also add images daily from our slide database. Our slide collection of approximately 1.5 million images are been digitally converted to jpg format and placed on the site daily.
Do you offer refunds?
Once your purchase is made we cannot offer a refund. The reason for this policy is because we offer full access to our entire digital collection of photos and, as such, there is no way for the products to be returned. However, we may be able to make exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
Are there any restrictions on my use of the APG Images photos that I download?Yes. While APG Images offers great freedom and a wide range of uses, we do not allow the redistribution of our photos or allow the use of our photos within products that are mass distributed in any type of archive format without permission from APG Images. If you are a commercial entity and require images for commercial use please
contact us to discuss a suitable package which meets your needs.
If I purchase a subscription are there any other fees I will encounter when downloading from the site?
No, a Monthly or Yearly subscription allows you full access to download any photos (except Photographers Images) on our site at no extra charge until you have used your quota for the membership period.
Why are Photographers Images not included in the Monthly or Yearly Subscriptions? APG Images cannot provide these images as part of our subscriptions as each photographer may charge their own prices for their images. As many of our photographers make a living from selling their images on our site (and other sites), it would be unfair to restrict them in their pricing. We hope you can appreciate this situation and apologise if it causes any issues.
Why do some photos not have the Enlarge button function available?
Unfortunately due to updates that have occurred with the software that is used to run this website, a number of images are no longer able to be viewed using the "Enlarge Image" button. There are approximately 200 images on our website affected.
Why does the site run slowly sometimes and not others?
Visitors may occasionally find the site runs a little slowly. This generally occurs when we are uploading batch loads of images to the site. As we are trying to offer our visitors as many images as possible, and as we are a relatively new site, we have many thousands of images still to be uploaded. We endeavour to upload images in the early hours of the morning so as not to disrupt our visitors, but if our generally fast site appears a little slow, this will be the reason. Please accept our apology and browse through the new photos we will have added!
How do I download an image?
To download an image you can have either a monthly or yearly subscription to our site or you can download images individually. All subscriptions to APG Images allow you to download all images except those of our photographers, these must be paid for indiviually.

As you can see our subscription plans are great value for money. Please Note our subscription plans do not include the downloading of photgraphers images. These must be purchased individually from the photographer.
How do I purchase a subscription?
To purchase a subscription either follow the link on the left hand side of each page 'Signup Now" or you can find the page here
Signup here. Complete the details on the page making sure to provide all the information requested on the form. We require these details in order to offer you fast and efficient support and mail any orders to you that are purchased such as canvas or prints.
Choose your payment method, which currently is only via paypal, however we plan to offer other services in the near future. Then select your subscription plan, if you choose free account you are entitled to use our Lightbox and mail to friend fucntions, however you will be unable to download any images. Press the "Signup" button at the bottom of the page and you will be direct to the Paypal payment gateway.
In order to complete your subscription you are required to fill in the form, providing the details requested and your credit card type and No. etc. You DO NOT have to be a member of Paypal in order to complete your purchase. After completing the form and submitting your data, you will be notified that your purchase has completed successfully and will return to our website. On returning to our website you will notice under the "Option" heading on the left hand side of the page, a menu displaying your current download limit and the expiry date of your account. If you do not see this menu you may have to close your browser, then open our website again and log back in. If for any reason you have problems please contact us using the "Support" link at the top of the page.
I bought a subscription, but it says I'm not activated, what do I do?On rare occasions the merchant processors may not send the information of your transaction to our system, so your account may not be automatically activated. Therefore, if you have made a purchase of our yearly subscription and you are not able to access the photos at APG Images using your details, send a support request.

Is account sharing allowed?
No, sharing an account is the same as distributing our materials to others. Individual accounts must be purchased by your friends and colleagues.
How do I download an image?
You can download images individually or have either a monthly or yearly subscription to our site giving you great value for money. Once you have paid your subscription and have successfully logged into APG Images you can then download all images except those of our photographers. When browsing our images and viewing the details page for each image you will notice a box to the right of the image - "Purchase Digital Photo". Listed in this box are the different image sizes available for purchase and to the right of each price you simply click on the "Download" link and either save the image or view it. Please remember each time you download an image this is taken off your subscription quota. (eg your downloads will go from 750 to 749).
What is My Orders?
My orders is just that! In this area you can view all your previous and current orders. Click on each order to view the particulars of that order. You can also view an invoice for that particular order and by selecting the printable version can obtain a printed copy of your order.
My Lightbox?
The Lightbox is a convenient addition that allows users who subscribe (even free accounts) to save their favorite images. Subscribe to our website using either a paid or free subscription, then visit the "My Lightbox" link to create a lightbox to add photos. Once a lightbox has been created you can then browse the site and click on the "+" icons to add it to your lightbox and continue searching. You can even email the lightbox to a friend or family member. Your recipient can then click on the icons in their email and visit the page on our site to see the full version.
Most people use lightboxes to store images they're interested in which relate to a particular project or client. There's no limit on the number of lightboxes you can create or the amount of time we'll store them for you!
Once you've created a lightbox and added images to it, you can remove images that no longer interest you, email the lightbox to other people, and much more!
Email photo to friend?
This option enables you to send the photos you like to your friends to view. To use this option you are required to be a subscriber (either a paid or free subscription) and be logged in before you can email this to a friend or family member.
This works the same as the lightbox except it has just one photo in the email. This photo has a link back to your store so the recipients are taken straight to the image details page.

Can I submit photos to sell?
Yes, we are pleased to offer photographers and artists the ability to sell their images and art work on our website. APG Images takes only a small percentage of each sale and pays its photographers at the end of each calendar month, either via a PayPal account, Direct Deposit or cheque. After completing the photographer “Sign Up” form and being accepted by APG Images, you will have access to a Control Panel which allows you to monitor and upload your images. You will be shown your monthly sales and also have the ability to set your own prices for your images or sell at the default price of $5.00 per image. Sign up here
How do I access my Photographers Area?
After you have successfullly signed up for a photographers account and we have activated your account, (This may take up to 24hrs) on the left side of the page under the "Options" field click on the "Photographer Login" link and insert the details you provided on sign up.
How does the photographer area control panel work?
After successfully logging into the photgraphers area you are presented with your control panel. This area enables you to manage and edit all of your photographs and view you sales statistics.
View/Edit Photos I have for sale. You are presented with a list of all photos attached to your account. This provides brief details of the images and the status (approved means APG Images has authorized your image for sale on the site)
Click on an image to either remove it from your store or edit the details attached to that image. You can also change the price of your image and place it in different categories within the site.
View my sales. Here you can view your current sales and the curent status of your paid commission. (Please note APG Images pays photographers at the end of each calendar month, either by Paypal transfer, direct bank transfer or cheque, you must provide us with those details in order to receive your commission)
Add photos. In this area you can add images to your store. After clicking the link you make a selection for the number of images you wish to upload. You then press the "browse" button for each image and locate that image on your computer. PLEASE NOTE. If you upload multiple images and complete the Title, Description, keyword and price fields all images in the batch will have that information attached to them. You have a number of choices - either leave all fields blank then edit those details individually for each photo in the view/edit area or - attach IPTC data to your images prior to upload. This information will automatically be imported with the image, keywording data is crucial if you want your images to sell on the site. Keywording information is used to search each image and the more keywording information you provide the better chance you have of selling your images.
Select the main category you wish to put your images and you may also select a sub category in the box below. Your images will be displayed in these categories.
You may also elect to create other copies of your image for sale. The area at the bottom of the page provide 3 choices of differing sizes with attached prices. If you select any of these check boxes another image will be created and place for sale with the main image and the price specified. Note: you are not able to change the price of these other versions of your photo. The default prices are specified however you may charge whatever price you feel is applicable to your image in the "Price" field above.
When you have completed the form and provided all the nescessary information press the "Upload" button to send your images to our site. Note: Depneding on the size of your images this may take some time so please be patient. Also note that your images will have to be authorized by APG images prior to being placed for sale on the site. This may take up to 24hrs and will automatically place your images for sale in the nominated categories.
Edit Profile. In this area you can edit the information you provided on signing up as a photographer, you can also add or change your Biography.
APG Images highly recommends and uses Image info Toolkit and the Controlled Vocabulary keywording database to name and keyword each of our images. This software is not free but is highly recommended, it will save you many hours of work when naming and keywording each image
Transaction FAQ's
How do I purchase an image?
To purchase one of our images click on any thumbnail image to bring up the description page for the particular image. On the right side of the description page you will find all purchase options related
to that image as displayed here. The first listing will display the high quality image it's dimensions and price etc. Each subsequent listing is a smaller version of the original image and is priced accordingly.
To purchase a copy of your image at the desired quality, simply click on the "Add to Cart" link. This will place the image in your cart, you can then continue shopping by clicking the "Continue Shopping" link above.
Should you wish to purchase a Print or Canvas of the image, press the drop down box located under "Prints & Products". A list of all prints and products available for that image will be displayed. Select the product of your choice then press the orange "Add Selected to Cart" button to add this product to your cart. For a description of all prints and products available to the image click the down facing arrow to give a detailed view.
Once you have filled your shopping basket with the images you wish to puchase click on the "View Cart" link, located on the left under the "Options" heading. This will take you to your current shopping cart and list all the images and products you have selected. Here you can review your cart items and remove any items you wish from the cart.
In order to complete your transaction, place any Coupon or Bonus offer code you have into the box
and click the "Enter" button to recalculate your cart's value. Select either Paypal or Check Money Order and click on the approriate button.
You will then be directed to Paypal, here you have a number of choices.
- Log into your Paypal account and complete the transaction, after which you will be directed back to our website. You will receive an email verfiying your purchase and providing you the links to download the images. Note you MUST download your purchased images within 15 days.
- If you do not have a Paypal account you can complete the transaction using your credit card. Complete the required form correctly and provide all information requested. After your payment has been verified you will be directed back to our site. You will receive an email verfiying your purchase and providing you the links to download the images. Note you MUST download your purchased images within 15 days.
If you choose to make your purchase by sending a check or money order, you will be directed to the relevant page. Here you are required to complete the form with the requested information, you are provided our mailing address details and should forward any payments to this address. Pay particular attention to including the transaction ID (Order Number) with your payment. Once payment is received you cart will be completed and you will receive an email allowing you to download the images in your cart. APG Images cannot be responsible for delays in the mail service, please allow sufficient time before contacting us regarding your order.
